Core curriculum training moves online

Because of Restrictions around Covid-19, our core curriculum teaching session for higher surgical trainees had to be run online rather than in the cadaver lab as would usually be the case. With the help of some colleagues and the RCSI, I ran the course online on October 14th. Topics included shoulder instability, joint replacement, cuff disease, elbow stiffness and instability as well as discussion on surgical approaches to the shoulder and elbow. We held discussion groups on common shoulder and elbow pathologies also. The course was well received by trainees.
